Walk-and-Talk Therapy
Therapy in motion, healing in nature
My walk-and-talk therapy offers a refreshing approach to traditional counselling, blending physical activity with psychological support.
Who is it for?
It is a good choice if you enjoy and are comfortable with outdoors and prefer a more relaxed and informal approach to counselling.
It can also be a better choice if you find face-to-face indoor therapy intimidating, or if you feel it is easier to open up whilst walking side by side your therapist.
It may not be suitable for everyone, and we can discuss if this form of therapy is the right approach for you, based on your needs and circumstances.
What does it look like?
It looks like a regular counselling session, but instead of a therapy room, it takes place while walking outdoors.
The focus remains on conversation and therapeutic work, with walking used to support relaxation, grounding and openness. I may pause the walk when needed for reflection or more focused discussion or for guided nature mindfulness.
This therapy is local to St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, and is weather and day light dependant. If the weather is not favourable we can rearrange the session to a different day or have our session online or over the phone instead.
What are the benefits?
This form of therapy can help to reduce your anxiety and promote a sense of calm.
The combination of movement and nature can boost your mood, foster creativity, and enhance feelings of connection.
It promotes physical health and nurtures your mental well-being, making it a compelling option if you are seeking an alternative to conventional therapy settings.
